AMANA TEMPLE – PUBLISHER, AUTHOR and CUSTOMER SUPPORT
Amana is taking on the role of publisher for Bushfire Press under the expert mentorship of Mark Leehy. She is always on the lookout for people with interesting and exciting ideas in music education and will either generate projects or find it in submissions that arrive on her desk. It’s Amana’s job to put together teams and guide the projects home. Sometimes her role is editorial and sometimes it’s hands-on researching, writing, composing and recording – and, these days, filming.
Amana is an experienced early learning and classroom music teacher who has worked in a range of different schools including private, public and outer regional. She has a Bachelor of Applied Music and a Grad Dip of Education, as well as certified Kodaly and Orff training. She has also worked in a variety of cover bands over the years.
After being an avid consumer of their products for years, Amana began working with Bushfire Press in 2020. She has two young children who keep her on her toes and continues to work part-time as a Primary music classroom teacher.
